Agnes Nasozi Kamya PhD

Social anthropologist| The Ubuntu-DUENDE™ Lab

Dr. Agnes Nasozi Kamya is an interdisciplinary researcher with over 20 years of experience in applied, Gender, Anthropology and Development (GAD). She specialises in feminist, decolonial frameworks, embodiment as epistemology, and the ethical transmission of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH). Her career has spanned high-level institutional and advocacy research in Uganda, fieldwork in East Africa and Spain, award-winning screenwriting and dance ethnography.

She is currently developing an inclusive, ethical, digital pedagogy for transcultural dance transmission at the Ubuntu-DUENDE™ Lab (Digital Ubuntu Embodiment for New Dance Epistemologies).
